KB price promo ends


But current SRP is lower than regular price

After more than two years of extended promotional price of 50% off the regular price, Kyusoku Bihaku or KB has finally returned to its regular price. KB one of the top glutathione supplement brands in country have long maintained the promo price caving in to demands from consumers.
“The promo started out as a mere Christmas promo way back in 2008,” explained KB Brand Manager Bernadette Kabahar, “but the response was very positive and consumer demand for extension was so great that we kept on extending it for more than two years.”

The sudden price change has caused a minor confusion among loyal clients both local and abroad. Some of the pricing issues are confounded by the fact that some local distributors still have stocks that were bought during the promo period and are still selling KB at the 50% off promotional price.
“We really feel bad about the confusion,” added Kabahar, “but like all promos, it all has to end sometime. The company believes that this is the best time to end it. This way, KB can now finally move on with other promotions and marketing ploys that have been put on hold because of the promo.”

In order to accommodate the extension for the price promo, Kabahar explained that the company had to sacrifice by putting on hold marketing plans which includes trimedia advertisements, billboards events as well as other promos planned for KB.

“This is perfect timing for KB and this coincides with the signing of PBB standout and Viva talent Sam Pinto as official KB endorser,” Kabahar said. “The signing of Ms. Pinto of course will entail additional costs for trimedia ad placements. This will formally and finally launch KB into trimedia advertising.”
Kabahar further explained that this move is primarily for big KB distribution outlets who have been requesting for a trimedia marketing placements from KB. In order to accommodate the request, they had no choice but to make the price adjustment.

“The good news is that we are not reverting to the P1,500 regular price,” said Kabahar. “We don’t want to shock our clients with the big price increase so we just pegged the SRP now at P975.”

“Furthermore, this marketing move will no doubt translate into bigger sales for KB which in turn will give us more room too work with for more grander promos in the future,” she added.

The confusion with KB pricing isn’t confined to local consumers. Distributors and consumers abroad are also confused with the pricing.
“Pricing abroad varies according to custom, shipping and dollar exchange rates, “ Kabahar explained. “The official price is $30-35 in Asia and $40-45 in the US.”
