KB reveals glutathione activating formula
August 2008

After months of keeping its exact glutathione supplement blend secret, Kyusoku Bihaku or KB finally reveals its formulation. Alex Mirador, company president, said that this move will hopefully avoid confusion in terminologies, testing method and controversies in the future. He said that although KB started out as a 30capsule bottle of 500mg/cap reduced glutathione, the company continuously reformulated to improve its blend to its present formulation to give the best products to its loyal consumers. "The reason for this constant improvement," he said, "is the fact that glutathione be it reduced or any other form, is very inefficient and wasteful when the supplement is taken orally. Less than half of it is absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract and the rest of it goes to waste." When glutathione reaches the stomach, Mirador explained that it is immediately attacked and most of it is destroyed by enzymes. The remaining glutathione that survives the onslaught is absorbed through the intestinal epithelial cells where it still needs to be broken down into its free form amino acid state before it gets distributed throughout the body. He added that studies show that even a massive single oral dose of 3,000mg of glutathione is not enough to raise the body's levels to a clinically beneficial extent. Reduced and oxidized glutathione is a tripeptide thiol consisting of the amino acids l-cysteine, glycine and glutamic acid. The three amino acids are bonded by protein. This bond makes glutathione unstable and thus ineffective for oral supplementation.

Latest research show that taking the free-form components of glutathione is far better than taking glutathione itself because it is bioavailable, withstands the attack of enzymes and is directly absorbed straight into our system. The KB formulation takes this latest study to heart. Each KB capsule has equal amounts unbonded glutathione components l-cysteine, glycine and glutamic acid. Apart from the glutathione components, KB also has N-Acetylcysteine (NAC) in its blend. Experts agree that NAC, a glutathione precursor, is the best glutathione booster available today.

In his book Vita Nutrient Solutions, Dr. Robert Atkins of the Atkins Diet fame said, "Glutathione cannot be discussed apart from NAC. NAC raises the body's glutathione levels something that oral supplements of glutathione itself cannot do." "To cap all these innovations in oral glutathione supplementation, KB comes as a 2 bottle set with the bottle being Vitamin C Rosehips," Mirador said. "Vitamin C increases the effectiveness of amino acid supplements by aiding in its synthesis." Mirador opined that the KB formulation proves that the product has been well thought out, incorporating the latest developments in oral glutathione supplements and it is not just another run-of-the-mill copycat product. "KB should have been spared from the glutathione controversy last May," Mirador lamented. "Kyusoku Bihaku should have been tested using a different method because of its unique composition." He admitted that although their sales were affected by the issue, most of their clients remained loyal because majority of them are converts from other brands and have proven for themselves that KB is a better product. "Kyusoku Bihaku is arguably the best oral supplement out there and I am assuring our loyal clients that we will continue to improve or our formulation to deliver the best results to them," Mirador said in closing. Kyusoku Bihaku or KB is priced at Php1,500.00 per set and is available at all leading drugstores nationwide. ADVISORY

We would like to inform everyone that the first Kyusoku Bihaku L-Glutathione (reduced) 500mg was introduced around 2005 through a different distributor with Yumei Mise Inc. After the contract with the distributor, ownership of the brand was turned over back to Yumei Mise.

In keeping up with the latest developments and trends in oral glutathione supplementation, Kyusoku Bihaku (KB) regularly updates its formulation in order to deliver the best results to its clients. In one of the reformulations, the company threw in another bottle of separate vitamin C at no added cost because of the ability of the vitamin to aid in amino acid synthesis.

The company's continued updates for better a formula is due to the inherent weakness of glutathione: whether reduced or any other form it can't be absorbed effectively through oral administration. Only less than 50% of the supplemental glutathione is absorbed through the gastrointestinal tract and the rest goes to waste. Some studies have even shown that a daily oral dose of 3,000mg showed no significant increase in a test subject's glutathione levels.

As always, KB's latest formulation is the company's way of dealing with this glaring weakness of oral glutathione supplements. Experts are in agreement that N-acetylcysteine (NAC) is a far better oral supplement for elevating the body's glutathione levels than any other--even glutathione itself. NAC was recently added into the KB blend.

A new study also shows better results when supplementing with components of glutathione in free form other than glutathione itself. Glutathione is a tripeptide thiol consisting of the amino acids l-cysteine, glycine and glutamic acid. Once the glutathione enters the stomach, digestive enzymes destroy a good part of it leaving a minimal amount to be absorbed in the small intestine. Once it gets there, the remaining glutathione is absorbed in the intestinal epithelial cells where it still needs to be broken down into amino acids before it gets distributed into the entire body.

Latest study reveals that free form amino acids is much better absorbed because it withstands the attack of the stomach enzymes and passes easily through the epithelial cells and directly into our system. The latest formulation of KB takes this new study to heart and came out with the equal amounts of the unbonded free form glutathione components l-cysteine, glycine and glutamic acid.

MORE KB INFORMATION:

1. What is the difference between the latest KB formulation in the market and the OLD KB.

OLD KB - Formulation is L-Glutathione (reduced) 500mg
NEW KB - The composition is made up of 3 free-form (unbonded) amino acids Glutamic, Glycine and Cysteine with N-Acetyl Cysteine and a separate Kyusoku Bihaku Vitamin C Rosehips.

2. When was this new formulation of KB applied with the Bureau of Food and Drugs.

It was presented to the BFAD and was applied for NEW FORMULATION approval around February 2008. The CPR was released around APRIL 22, 2008, encoded around APRIL 28, 2008 and was received by our company around May 2008. However, we have made some recent corrections in the brand name and formulation both of which are being presented. At the same time we also applied for approval for our new packaging.

3. How many batches were released so far?

Two batches were released so far. The first batch was recalled by the Yumei Mise because there were misprints and errors in the packaging. And replaced with the second batch, is the ym05091. (which is our first batch in the market)

We would also like to inform the PUBLIC that due to the composition KB, the test that should be implemented is Gaschromatography oe EZ Assay Amino Kit Test (FYI: Reduced Glutathione for HPLC) The cost for this kind of comprehensive test ranges from 30,000 to 80,000 pesos.

Also, our product is NOT REDUCED GLUTATHIONE but a composition of unbonded FREE FORM AMINO ACID (Glutamic acid, Glycine and Cysteine) plus N-Acetyl L-Cysteine.

Most of the Glutathione that are in reduced form is indicated in their label.

THIS STATEMENT IS BEING PRESENTED BY YUMEI MISE INC. This move aimed at not only minimizing confusion in terminologies and testing sytem, but to avoid further controversies as well.

The honest to goodness truth about
KYUSOKU BIHAKU 500mg

We knew that it was only a matter of time before the L-GLUTATHIONE competition in the market reaches a fever pitch. We also had a sneaking suspicion that the competition might turn ugly ONCE THE OTHER BRANDS FEEL THREATENED and will do whatever it takes protect their interest.

It is truly saddening that even a well-respected and esteemed media institution can be easily swayed to unwittingly or otherwise, irresponsibly disseminate unreliable and malicious information against competing brands of an ad sponsor all for the measly price of an ad placement. Still, we hold no grudges against this network because this news segment and ad sponsor may have pulled the wool over their eyes.

WE KNEW THAT THIS IS THE PRICE WE WILL PAY FOR BEING TRULY HONEST IN OUR CAMPAIGN.

Bad news for the news segment and ad sponsor is that they might think that they have won the battle but they are gravely mistaken. Little do they know that what they did will prove to be their undoing because people will start asking, will seek for the truth themselves and once they find it, they will know which brands are taking them for a ride all along.

WE STARTED OUT ON A CAMPAIGN OF HONESTY AND BY IT SHALL WE CONTINUE ON.

Our company has been around since 1999 in the glutathione industry, practically starting the glutathione craze in the country, flying low as supplier and product provider. With all those years of experience behind us, we decided to develop the best glutathione formulation and market it at a very competitive price.

Our brand, KYUSOKU BIHAKU L-GLUTATHIONE (free form and not reduced glutathione like other leading brand) plus NAC and VITAMIN C ROSEHIPS, or KB to longtime and satisfied users, has taken oral glutathione supplementation to a higher level.

In doing so however, we knew that we have also painted a big red target on our backs. We have anticipated that the other brands will play catch-up and will try to buy time by spending serious money on smear campaigns. This is until they come up with their own copycat and watered-down versions of our formulation but still of inferior quality and still replete with useless fillers.

THIS MAY BE A LETDOWN FOR THE SPONSOR BUT WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THE START OF THIS SMEAR CAMPAIGN. WHAT TOOK YOU GUYS SO LONG?

We have been waiting for this because we wanted to extend this Sponsor the honor of paving a wider avenue for us to tell the consumers why our product is way better than theirs. Thanks for making our job easier for us.

These are some of the FACTS that we have been honest about.

1. GLUTATHIONE, BE IT REDUCED OR FREE-FORM, IS NOT EFFICIENTLY ABSORBED WHEN IT IS TAKEN ORALLY. You only absorb less than half of the supplemental glutathione. This means that you are actually paying for something and getting less than half of the effectiveness. What is even more disappointing probably to the other brands is that some of the latest research shows that the reduced form of glutathione, while ideal via intravenous administration, is more easily destroyed in our gastrointestinal tracts and goes to waste. This means that users of this form of glutathione may be paying more for something that is even less effective.

2. KB IS PHARMACEUTICAL GRADE FREE FORM AMINO ACIDS WITH NAC AND ROSEHIPS. This means that KB is devoid of the usual fillers, like cornstarch for example, found in other brands. We decided to make KB that way owing to the fact previously mentioned because with fillers, you actually get lesser glutathione. When our pharmaceutical grade formula came about, one brand tried to strike out cornstarch from their labels immediately. They appeared to have done so in a hurry that their printer left out the comma preceding it. They may want to check that one out before printing their next batch of labels. Furthermore, they may have erased cornstarch from their labels, but it will still very likely remain within their capsules.

3. KB IS THE FIRST AND ONLY BFAD APPROVED BRAND THAT IS FORMULATED WITH NAC. NAC or N-Acetylcysteine is the best glutathione booster available today. Even the famous Dr. Robert Atkins in his book Vita Nutrient Solutions said that, NAC raises glutathione levels in the body, something that oral supplements of glutathione itself cannot do. We added in NAC to our formulation to make up for the inherent limitations of oral glutathione. Apart from boosting the body’s glutathione levels, the NAC in our brand also greatly helps in the absorption and retention of the supplemental glutathione.

KB as a set also comes with Vitamin C Rosehips for a very affordable price of Php 1,500.00 only. We have definitely innovated gave the consumers a quality product coupled with affordability. KB passed the tests conducted by the Department of Science and Technology and is duly registered with the Bureau of Food and Drugs. Our brand also recently passed the stringent test by the Office of Muslim Affairs and was declared Halal.

By coming out with the facts stated above, we have undoubtedly earned the ire of the other brands. Instead of tackling and disproving these facts however, they instead opted to play the game dirty. We cant blame them because the facts that we have presented are the truth and one cant exactly change it. They can only hope to twist it.

NOW, IN DIRECT ANSWER TO THE NEWS SEGMENT THAT CAME OUT OF A MEDIA NEWS ORGANIZATION, WE PRESENT THIS FACT.

The method that was used by this ¡®respected¡¯ testing institution is titration. Titrimetry uses instruments that are also available in a junior scientist toy kit and is in other words unreliable. The particular usage of titration according to the online encyclopedia, Wikipedia is to define oils, fats, biodiesel and similar substances.

WHY ON EARTH WOULD ANYONE TEST GLUTATHIONE USING A METHOD FOR TESTING FATS AND FOSSIL FUELS?

Any chemist will tell you that for testing amino acid content, the most ideal method would be to test it via High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC for REDUCED GLUTATHIONE) or Gas Chromatography (GC for FREE FORM). We can only make assumptions why the ¡®respected¡¯ institution never used this two ideal and much more reliable methods. True the news segment and ad ¡®sponsor¡¯ scored high in titration but what did that prove? That maybe the cornstarch in their brand has high-quality oil in it? Or that their brand contains high-end diesel perhaps? We just don¡¯t get it. We urge the people to be more discerning of such news reports, documentaries, tv segments and the like because most of them are available for a price. Too bad, this ¡®sponsor¡¯ could have used their money in product improvement to give their consumers what they truly deserve for the hard-earned money these users are spending for their product.

OUR ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN FOR KYUSOKU BIHAKU WAS AND WILL REMAIN FOUNDED ON HONESTY.

Even our model is a certified user of our KB. We are not going to scare you into buying our product, try and dazzle you with star endorsers and we will definitely not spend millions to sponsor a tv news segment or documentary just to malign a competing brand.

WHAT WE ARE ENCOURAGING YOU TO DO IS TO FIND OUT THE TRUTH FOR YOURSELF AND FILTER OUT THE LIES THE OTHERS ARE TRYING SO HARD AND SPENDING SO MUCH MONEY ON FOR YOU TO BELIEVE.

Only then will you realize who is telling the truth and you will truly be enlightened.

Oral glutathione made even better

The latest research have shown that glutathione is the most potent antioxidant currently known to man. Some have called it the miracle cure all owing to its unparalleled inhibiting effect on free radicals which makes it a powerful weapon to combat a wide range of degenerative diseases.

It has been shown not only to protect individual cells but also the tissues of the some of the major organs, including the skin against oxidant damage. This quality spurred the million-peso industry of oral glutathione in the country focusing on its ability to make the skin fairer and protect it from the ravages of ageing.

With the burgeoning industry all the more getting bigger and more profitable, so-called experts connected to the industry have been too reluctant to boldly state one unmistakable fact:

L-GLUTATHIONE IS POORLY ABSORBED ORALLY.

Glutathione is a tri-peptide thiol consisting of three amino acids, Cysteine, Glutamic acid and Glycine while the Glutathione (free form) replacement is also consist of those three amino acids in single bond. When taken orally, l-cysteine loses 85% of its sulfur group (which becomes the active component of glutathione) during the digestion process. This means that less than half of the supplemental glutathione is absorbed through the digestive system.

Without much explanation glutathione formulated with alpha lipoic acid (ALA) appeared on the market. ALA was supposed to be a glutathione booster. However, ALA is yet another another form of an unstable amino acid that it too, loses as much of its sulfur and sulfuhydryl components as the glutathione which leads to another unmistakable fact. Alpha-lipoic acid is practically useless as a glutathione booster.

NAC

(N-Acetyl L-Cysteine)

NAC is an acetylated form of the amino acid L-Cysteine. It is in itself a powerful antioxidant and has been used to treat cystic fibrosis and acetaminophen overdose.

Recent studies have consistently proven that NAC is the most powerful and most effective glutathione booster available today. NAC works by increasing the glutathione levels in the body.

What makes NAC standout among the so-called glutathione boosters is that it is a stable compound with an ability to retain most of its sulfur and sulfuhydryl contents losing only 15% during the process of digestion.

Some have even suggested that taking NAC is better than taking glutathione itself. However, this is only true in instances where an individual has depleted stores of glutathione in the body and needs supplementation to elevate it to healthy levels. NAC may boost the glutathione levels in the body, but it can only boost it to a certain extent which may still not be enough to maximize the true free radical inhibiting potential of glutathione.

KYUSOKU BIHAKU L- Glutathione 500mg with NAC and Pure Rosehips Vitamin C Kyusoku Bihaku L-Glutathione pack comes formulated with the optimum dose of NAC to make the most of oral glutathione supplementation. The NAC processed into each of the quality KB glutathione capsule not only boosts the glutathione levels in the body but it also makes up for the glutathione components lost during the digestion process.

More than just being the first to produce such a remarkable oral glutathione formulation, Kyusoku Bihaku also boasts of the fact that it is the only glutathione supplement in the country today made by its own manufacturing company. With factories located Korea and Japan, each KB capsule is produced under the strictest of standards and by experts regarded as the best amino acid manufacturers in the world. Unlike other glutathione products in the market today, KB glutathione with NAC was manufactured without compromising its quality just to be able to sell it at the prevailing market price.

Each KB pack also comes with Pure Rosehips Vitamin C to further complement the KB efficiency. Each Rosehips Vitamin C capsule is in its purely organic form which gives it a natural, timed release quality. Vitamin C is essential in helping both the glutathione and NAC retain more of its active components and at the same time flush out some of the glutathione and NAC which may be oxidized and become insoluble in the process.

KB is undoubtedly the only effective and relevant oral glutathione sold in the market today. Stop wasting your time and money on other glutathione supplements that will never deliver their promised results.

Kyusoku Bihaku 500mg Glutathione with NAC and Pure Rosehips Vitamin C is the only oral glutathione supplement you truly deserve. It is the next best thing and the most cost-effective alternative to IV glutathione.

With each KB pack, you will get all the results you want without any questions. Now you have been TRULY enlightened.
